MC has all its starters back in with a 25-16 lead … Mater Dei is just pushing, pushing, pushing the ball … MC’s Brandi Henton gets her 2nd foul at 5:12 while trying to stop a drive by Jazz in the lane. Jazz hits a FT and it’s 25-17. Lots of slapping and lots of hands by Mater Dei on defense, but it’s been a loose game so far so you can’t complain too much …

For a trey and a 57-56 lead at 2:45 … SM gets 3 shots under the basket before Lucchesi blocks it ouf of bounds. Danielle Thompson gets a big steal in the open court and MC has the ball. Lauren Lucchesi fouled after grabbing a rebound and she’s shooting 2: Both good, Mc 59-56 at 1:43 to go …

SM’s Sonia Aguilar flips in a short jumper to open the fourth quarter and, after forcing a turnover, Chaidez Taylor hits from the left side for a 4-pooint lead … MC is focusing everything on Mauldin, forcing the other Panthers to pick up the slack. Brandi Henton makes 2 FTs to bring MC within 43-41. She’s doing a great job penetrating the lane and getting the Crusaders out on the break today …
