The print media often claims that its purpose is to provide information to the citizens. Does anyone believe this?
The Bee recently sued to obtain pension information on Stan County retired employees. Public employee are also citizens. Who agrees this information should be public information?
Since the print media has the ability to decide elections, sway peoples oppinions, and choose which facts it puts in a story or leaves out, should'nt they provide the salaries of all its staff and employees?
If the print media were concerned about quality factual reporting, all papers would be free. If the goal of papers is to inform the public of what is occuring, then all papers should be free. The cost of making papers would be paid for by Ads.

Sex Tape Unravels Former Beauty Queen with Ties to Fundamentalist religion and anti-gay views

Why is Paul Warda Claiming the Salida Chamber of Commerce is endorsing him? There is NO Salida Chamber of Commerce
Submitted by truthseekers on Mon, 2009-11-02 08:41.Warda claims to be endorsed by a nonexistant Chamber of Commerce and Olsen claims to have family values, what a farce.
I've pointed out the direct relationship between Kristin Olsen and her contributors.
And have shown how Geers mind gets changes for contributions.
And the fallacy of Muratore's claims that most of his money comes from small donations(this can be seen in a video on his site). We know that despite his claims that less than 14% of his large campaign chest came from $100 dollar donors.
Now showing cause and effect isn't attacking, its framing the problem we have here in Modesto with undue influence by the building industry/developers/and those whos lively hoods depends on staying in the good graces of the first two.
Do you want your taxes to rise?
Do you want your sewer and water rates to rise?
We need fresh blood on the city council, and not fresh bought and paid for developer blood.

Is the stancoslimesider being Paid by the Olsen and Muratore Campaigns to Slime Their Opponents?
Submitted by truthseekers on Mon, 2009-11-02 06:54.Now that we know that the slimesider is a pay site thanks to Bmoore3, the question has become is the slimesider being paid for the use of its multiple sockpuppet accounts in order to attack Kristin Olsen's opponents.
Is Olsen's advertisement paid for? It isn't listed as a non-monitary contribution so has a delayed recompense been arranged for?
Others have noticed similar pictures on both the saraj and slimesider sites.
Will Kristin Olsen's campaign acknowledge a connection. At this point there has been no response.
And who is responsible for the sockpuppet account? Could it be the stancoslimesider or is it directly related to an insider at Olsen headquarters?
To Protect Your rates From Going Higher, Vote For Serpa, Harriman, and Donham For the MID Board
Submitted by truthseekers on Mon, 2009-11-02 06:39.We watched Van Groningen and Warda vote for 5 straight rate increases, totaling 22% increase for the past 12 months alone. they didn't vote against a rate increase until September of this year when they suddenly became concerned about being re-elected.
Warda and Van Groningen rubberstamped EVERY single proposal that staff has made for the last 10 years.(it could be longer but I didn't go back any further)
The rate increases won't end until we vote them out!

If Steve Madison,Olsen, and Muratore reduce Builders Fees and Zagaris gets Vested Maps it's the Village I Debacle all over again
Submitted by truthseekers on Mon, 2009-11-02 05:59.Development that doesn't pay for its self. Modestans being forced to pay for things BUILDERS should be paying for.
That appears to be what they're after.
Is that what the citizens of Modesto want?
I don't think so.
