Drug Laws/Reform

We must secure our borders...for our childrens sake
Submitted by JosiahRivers on Fri, 2009-11-06 18:39.Despite increased enforcement our borders remain porous...especially our southern one with Mexico. Countless tons of dangerous narcotics...cocaine, meth, heroin, and marihuana...are flowing north in a seemingly unstoppable torrent, while excessively potent high grade marihuana flows south from our Canadian neighbor. By far the more dangerous of the two is the Mexican onslaught...bringing cartel violence...highly addictive narcotics...and a flood of illegal immigrants. The cartels newest tactic is is using illegal immigrants...sneaking into this country...to carry smaller shipments of there vile contraband, so as to minimize losses when intercepted...to supply there distribution networks north of the border.

We need to up the anti
Submitted by JosiahRivers on Thu, 2009-11-05 17:38.to counter the legalizers latest attempt at usurping the peoples will. A recent poll...http://www.capitolweekly.net/article.php?_c=ydyyddqbzdpszc&xid=ydym4d05tdtym5&done=.ydyyddqbze8szc... showed 52% of californians favored keeping marihuana illegal...not the 56% the legalizers claim are for legalization...more lies from the radical left! Furthermore, 55% of those 18 to 35 years old...want it to remain banned...proof the drug war is working...when exposed to the truth...through programs such as DARE...our youth can make the right choice!

Breckenridge Votes Overwhelmingly To Legalize Marijuana
Submitted by Voter on Wed, 2009-11-04 11:49.DENVER — The Colorado ski town of Breckenridge has voted overwhelmingly to legalize marijuana.
Early returns Tuesday night showed the proposal winning with 72 percent of the vote. The measure would allow adults over 21 to have up to 1 ounce of marijuana.
The measure is largely symbolic because pot possession remains a state crime for people without medical clearance. But supporters said they wanted to send a message to local law enforcement to stop busting small-time pot smokers.
The vote comes as communities nationwide are struggling with how to enforce pot laws at a time when medical marijuana has surged in popularity.

Maybe it's just the part of me that relishes conspiracies and 'wheels-spinning-within-wheels' theory, but isn't the timing very odd?
Sockpuppets, culpabilty , nonfeasance here on the hive??????? I have taken it upon myself to forward email to Dan Day
Submitted by wilderj on Sat, 2009-10-31 06:06.This is getting stupid and the hives failure to enforce their own rules is adding to the stupidity. Dan has said what the guidelines are and he has acknowledged that many are breaking the rules. The problem I have is; this is creating a very unstable environment by not stepping in. I am a logical person, but, I do not see the logic here, Whether it is for or against someone I support. I do not agree with the (perceivable?) stalking of Robert Stanford by jheaton and do believe he may have a great case after this election is over.
The crap sockpuppet and activist1 put about Joe Cataline with illegally obtained pictures is a violation of hive rules. Yes, it does make me reconsider my vote, but it is what it is, and I think Olsen hasn't done enough to keep her on the council. I believe Joe will best represent what is most important “OUR YOUTH”.
