Farewell Motorcycle

My pursuit of speed, especially in the speed and can enjoy the kick has turned competitor is the kind of fun and even police, the positive rate of all the passions are excited, so violent motorcycle play now is my favorite game.

So why does it seem that football coaches have something against baseball? Mine and my son's first experience.

So why is it that football coaches downplay baseball?

This is my son's first year playing football.  We have been a baseball family for seven years, so getting use to the football dynamics was quite a foreign thing. We figured if he was going to play in high school, we better get him some experience now, since he is in junior high school.

John Cleese reminisces about career at Gallo Center

Former "Monty Python" cast member John Cleese started off his very funny performance at the Gallo Center for the Arts tonight by poking fun at Modesto. He said he knew the sold-out crowd at the 1,200-seat Rogers Theater must be wondering why such a great star as he was in town. "Did he make a wrong turn?" he said audience members must be thinking. "Is he looking for a secret place to commit suicide?" It's none of the above, Cleese said. "Frankly, I need the money." The 70-year-old star said he has been reduced to "amusing almond farmers" because of his recent third divorce. He's calling his stand-up appearances around the country the "Alimony Tour." Dressed casually in jeans and a sport coat, Cleese spent the rest of the 2-and-a-half hour show talking about his life, from his youth in what he described as a dull seaside English town through his Broadway debut in the 1960s, appearances in "Monty Python" and "Fawlty Towers" to his 1988 movie "A Fish Called Wanda."

Unseen's Corner

Hello internet and welcome to your daily dose of revolution. Here is a picture of Lenin for your contemplation whilst you read this most important of articles.

Why, you ask, WHY, have these bloggers who have slept dormant these past few months returned with such radical notions of revolution. The reason my fellow comrades is that our way of life as PC gamer's is being threatened. But before you grab your rifle and hunt down the evil capitalists responsible for this escapade, listen closely. The internet has been buzzing over an issue recently that is dear to every gamer who has ever joined a server on their PC (or Mac for that matter): Dedicated servers.

Editors Desk: I remember MAMA

I've seen Springsteen at the Meadowlands in New Jersey. I've attended the Oscars in Los Angeles. And now I can happily say I've been to the MAMAs in Modesto.

The Modesto Area Music Association's annual awards show was held last evening at The State Theatre, and it was a big deal. This was the 10th go-round for the awards, the brainchild of music fans and promoters Chris Murphy and Chris Ricci. They packed The State with a lively crowd and strong lineup of acts.

Bee Publisher Eric Johnston and I each were privileged to present awards at last night's show, and I'm already hoping for a return gig in 2010.In the meantime, if you like your music local and live, consider supporting the MAMA.
