The print media often claims that its purpose is to provide information to the citizens. Does anyone believe this?
The Bee recently sued to obtain pension information on Stan County retired employees. Public employee are also citizens. Who agrees this information should be public information?
Since the print media has the ability to decide elections, sway peoples oppinions, and choose which facts it puts in a story or leaves out, should'nt they provide the salaries of all its staff and employees?
If the print media were concerned about quality factual reporting, all papers would be free. If the goal of papers is to inform the public of what is occuring, then all papers should be free. The cost of making papers would be paid for by Ads.

IT IS TIME FOR "CHANGE".......
Submitted by Bmoore3 on Wed, 2009-11-04 11:30.It has been very apparent that here on the Modesto Bee “The Hive” on-line public forum over the past several months there is a group of bloggers who have made an concerted and choreographed effort to misrepresent a specific group of people who were running for public office. This effort, up until the election, consisted basically of insinuating that specific candidates have committed illegal activities, making innuendos that specific candidates were receiving funding for their campaigns with “quid-pro-quo” elements behind the funding, and that some of the candidates (they felt) had in their opinion violated the law by actually voting on issues for political pay back on contributions.

Inappropriate and out of bound posting (attack on non-Hive issues)....
Submitted by Bmoore3 on Fri, 2009-10-30 17:23.Why is it that some at the HIVE will attack even a hobby (part time avocation) that other bloggers have? There appears to be a faction on the Hive who will make a point of attacking and trying to marginalize anyone for any reason. The following is an example of one of the Hive most notorious accusers and exactly what they will do to try to intimidate or disrupt personal activities that are conducted away from the Hive. I post a photo blog for my own enjoyment and for the enjoyment of others who love landscape photography and nature in general. This particular blogger has found it necessary to attack me for advertising on a web site they disagree with (despite of the fact that what I was advertising had nothing to do with what is written on the web site)... It is apparent that this Hive poster feels it appropriate to make a

Here are a few of the girls involved with Cataline is his pole dancing video shoot. How old are they?
Missing the Point on Joe Cataline Pictures
Submitted by sarahj1234567 on Thu, 2009-10-22 10:57.According to Joe he's all about the youth of this community. Well, what kind of a message does it send to boys and girls that a "role model" can post and SELL pictures that require you to be 18 or older to view?
If I had a boy on his youth football team, or a girl as a cheerleader, I would pretty upset with him. What kind of double life is he living? Do we know the ages of these girls he photographed?
If anything this shows a complete lack of judgement on Joe Cataline's, or should I say "ichabadkrane"s part.

HOTMAIL USERS - A MAJOR HIT
Submitted by Bmoore3 on Tue, 2009-10-06 13:00.
For the millions of people who use Hotmail email.... this is very bad news.... "Gmail, Yahoo Mail join Hotmail; passwords exposed" . It seems that over the weekend a very warped mind (criminal) has managed a large-scale phishing attack, perhaps the same one that harvested at least 10,000 passwords from Microsoft's Windows Live Hotmail during the weekend.
