IT IS TIME FOR "CHANGE".......

It has been very apparent that here on the Modesto Bee “The Hive” on-line public forum over the past several months there is a group of bloggers who have made an concerted and choreographed effort to misrepresent a specific group of people who were running for public office.  This effort, up until the election, consisted basically of insinuating that specific candidates have committed illegal activities, making innuendos that specific candidates were receiving funding for their campaigns with “quid-pro-quo” elements behind the funding, and that some of the candidates (they felt) had in their opinion violated the law by actually voting on issues for political pay back on contributions.

Inappropriate and out of bound posting (attack on non-Hive issues)....

Why is it that some at the HIVE will attack even a hobby (part time avocation) that other bloggers have?  There appears to be a faction on the Hive who will make a point of attacking and trying to marginalize anyone for any reason.  The following is an example of one of the Hive most notorious accusers and exactly what they will do to try to intimidate or disrupt personal activities that are conducted away from the Hive.   I post a photo blog for my own enjoyment and for the enjoyment of others who love landscape photography and nature in general.  This particular blogger has found it necessary to attack me for advertising on a web site they disagree with (despite of the fact that what I was advertising had nothing to do with what is written on the web site)...  It is apparent that this Hive poster feels it appropriate to make a

Calendars: By Allan Erickson

I bought Allan (ae) Erickson's calendar. Actually, I bought four. After seeing them online, I thought they could make a perfect Christmas gift, as they are unique and the picture's are amazing. I received them in the mail today and I am not disappointed. They are bigger than I thought they would be- slightly longer than a standard calendar, which I like. I am looking forward to sharing them with friends and family!

Missing the Point on Joe Cataline Pictures

According to Joe he's all about the youth of this community.  Well, what kind of a message does it send to boys and girls that a "role model" can post and SELL pictures that require you to be 18 or older to view?

If I had a boy on his youth football team, or a girl as a cheerleader, I would pretty upset with him.  What kind of double life is he living?  Do we know the ages of these girls he photographed?

If anything this shows a complete lack of judgement on Joe Cataline's, or should I say "ichabadkrane"s part.

HOTMAIL USERS - A MAJOR HIT

For the millions of people who use Hotmail email....   this is very bad news....  "Gmail, Yahoo Mail join Hotmail; passwords exposed" .   It seems that over the weekend a very warped mind (criminal) has managed a large-scale phishing attack, perhaps the same one that harvested at least 10,000 passwords from Microsoft's Windows Live Hotmail during the weekend.

The Steve Miller Band. WhooHoo!

This is when music was good.

Steve Miller moved to San Francisco and formed the Steve Miller Blues Band. When they contracted with Capitol Records,  they shortened their name to the Steve Miller Band. The quartet of guitarists Miller and James Cook, bassist Lonnie Turner and drummer Tim Davis (who replaced the departing Lance Haas on drums)  Guitarist Boz Scaggs joined the band soon after and the group performed at the Monterey Pop Festival in June. Their debut album Children Of The Future was recorded in England and released in May 1968.

The Joker had a style new for the band. The title track became a #1 scoring single album. The album was certified platinum for over 1 million sales.
