Beginning Monday, February 9th, professors from the Economics Department at California State University, Stanislaus will be responding to questions about economics. The Economics Department is based in the College of Humanities and Social Sciences.

Beginning next week, Kirk Lindsey and Paul Van Konynenburg will answer questions on this blog about Measure S, the proposed half-cent sales tax increase to improve roads in Stanislaus County. It will be on the November ballot.

The two men have volunteered to head the campaign in favor of Measure S.  Lindsey is chair and Van Konynenburg is campaign manager.

State Sen. Jeff Denham is answering questions this week about the state budget. Please post your questions by Wednesday noon, June 18, and he and his staff will respond by Friday, June 20.

While the budget is the hot topic of the month, you can ask other questions related to the Legislature and current bills.

Sen. Dave Cogdill, a former Modesto City Council member and former state Assemblyman, is now the minority (Republican) leader of the California State Senate. That means he will be a key player in the state budget negotiations.

He will be answer budget-related questions on this blog the week of April 23-25. Post your questions here by Wednesday noon, April 23, and Sen. Cogdill will respond by Friday, April 25.
