Right behind my office is the construction site for the new Rainforest Adventure exhibit and it so exciting to see its progression.  The project began just a couple of weeks ago and already so much has changed.  A bare, bleak slab of concrete has quickly transformed into a barricade of boulders and larger than life ants crawling along the rocks and ground.  Trees have sprouted that are bigger than some trees I have seen in Yosemite.  It is going to be incredible when it is complete!  But in order for the Rainforest Adventure to fully function we will need plenty of volunteers to help sustain this exhibit.

Getting the family to the county fair just got easier and more affordable with the Stanislaus County Fair’s new FREE Park ‘N Ride program.

One of my favorite parts about the Stanislaus County Fair is taking a gander through the exhibit’s section.  I love escaping from the hustle and bustle of the Fair to the calm and friendly animals and unique and extraordinary projects.  How can you not fall in love with the bright-blue eyed ewes or admire how luscious the flowers in horticulture are.  In order for us to enjoy the exhibit area to the fullest, exhibitors need to make sure they meet all of the deadlines so they can enter all their furry friends and crafty projects.     

Remember those grade school days when it was so exciting to go on a field trip?!  The anticipation of it all would make it so difficult to sleep the night before.  Although you suffered from lack of sleep there was no sense of lethargy the next morning because the adrenaline from your excitement pumped through your body all day long!  When it came time to load the bus, you could hardly contain yourself because you knew your new adventure was about to start.  Sitting still on the bus ride was just impossible.  When you finally arrived at your destination, the field trip always exceeded your expectations.  You found yourself ooooo

Why is it that the simplest decisions can be the hardest to make?  When faced with two simple options, I can never decide.  Each option seems so enticing that I don’t want to miss out on either one.  This is why I am so grateful for the Stanislaus County Fair!  The Fair makes my life so much easier with their exhibits.
