Linda1, The way it is written is confusing. You have to read the first line, then the 100%. There are all 4 votes for "tougher" and 0 votes for not change. At first I saw it like you did....
THE BEE HIVE 13 - a start of a march?
Linda 1, clay11, "j" and the other 10 who voted to "get tougher on illegal immigration". 13 is a good start for a march. Anyone know anything about getting one going? I've never been involved with organizing a march. I'm willing to work with those who want to get one going. Anyone have ideas? Permits needed? Groups to contact for sponsorship? Local groups to contact for participation? Contacts of any kind? It's time we "STAND UP FOR AMERICA" (hey, a possible theme for the march... there is already a song that came out of 9-11 on that theme).... Any thoughts or ideas? Has to start some where, might as well be here and now. Comments?
We ought to start out with flyers, which we can all do,and get this going. If we can get this in the news we would get alot of people to help.Let the illegal mexicans go back to Mexico. They are taking a lot of jobs, because they will work cheaper.Americans are geting screwed.
Name it first. Whats the name of the event. Whats the message we want to send? Form a committee to handle the details. You must be united on the issue, and agree on what the fliers look like, there message, details, including contact info. Meetings must be set up, to keep everyone on the same page. We need a strategy, and an attainable goal. it is very important to pay attention to detail. If we march where should we march from and to. Who is our intended target audience? When we march, who will lead the procession? Who will be available to handle the media? Who will speak when we reach our destrination? Will we provide food, and drinks? How much money will this event cost, and who will cover the expenses. All of these details must be worked out beforehand if we want to have a
successful event. I am happy to help in anyway I can. I am a fundraiser, so I may be able to help in that way. I think a march to let others know we are proud to be American is a good idea.
LINDA1…… Name it first. Whats the name of the event. (STANDING UP FOR AMERICA)? Whats the message we want to send? (THAT THE MAJORIETY OF AMERICANS ARE FOR LEGAL IMMIGRATION BUT WANT ACTION TAKEN ON “ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION
Good first step! I'm with you. I like the idea of the bee becoming a go between for email addresses exchanged. I would suggest contacting Genevieve. I am also open to traveling to meetings. I like this idea, and see the potential in it. I have many contacts as well. So, when your all ready, let me know.
Bmoore3 I dont believe this event is anything to worry about. I think the warning to be careful from yuor duaghter is just her way of taking care of her dad. I completely understand that. We can invite the National Guard to set up a booth, and watch. I'm sure the police will attend too. :D
All of you are great.Right now I feel to get started,is word of mouth.Tell people about this site if they are interested in this movement. If we get enough we can meet at a park,to get the ball rolling.I think it is great to have this after school,or after work.Any costs would be minimal. We all have to pitch in and we can get this rolling. But we need numbers to get this to work. You guys are great.
I happen to be pretty darn good at keeping people safe. I do it for a living. One way to make this work smoothly is to find a place that a large invited group can meet. There is no reason that we as concerned citizens can't have a first time meeting that discusses how we would want to organize and run any future events. I am a member of a local service club and have access to a certain facility in Turlock. As you said it does not have to be a march it could be an American Family Night type of event. There could be displays that show how America came to be. A historical timeline of major events in USA's history. A vetran's tribute. This would show how America is the land of opportunity for those who follow the laws. Heck, this event could be held on the 4th of July in the afternoon.
Clay11, you are soooooo right! We need to spread the word. I’m passing it on to all the people I know in the Central Valley. If we all did that and had those who we notify do it, it would not take long before this could be a real “movement

Re: USA Citizens Unite for Legal Immigration & Immigration Enforcement.
Bmoore3 and Linda, and all re: USA Citizen Advocates for LEGAL IMMIGRATION or whatever you want to name it.
B...your daughter is correct, Email addresses and IDs must be protected.
There are nasties, anarchists and ID theives out there who may not even be connected to "the opposition" who could and would run havoc with emails, computers, Identity/financial security. etc.
Having been involved with the Civil Rights Movement: Lawful, Peaceful, non-violent, respectful, dignified. Take the "High moral Road." yet focused, coordinated, with Effective STRATEGY, perseverance.
Also important for self protection and protection of the INTENT of the movement:
Persons involved with this planning and Rally should be especially "clean" upstanding, law abiding CITIZENS. Definitely no one affiliated with any Hate organizations such as KKK or Aryan, etc.
Planning meetings are essential. More than a few. Gathering information for compliance with necessary permits: Working with law enforcement and city to make sure any Rally, poster /banner flying is all in accordance with LAW.
This is very important since "the cause" is essentially concerned with the failure of Enforcement of USA LAWS, and the negative affects upon our society.
Ex. In NY City, some May 1st protesters left the confines of the sidewalks and swarmed the streets at some point. That was a violation of the law and N.Y. City Police cited those...thus Enforcing the law.
Local Law Enforcement did not Enforce, perhaps out of greater % of protesters to general population, and / or the need to appear "neutral."
Perhaps Local Law Enforcement was especially "sensitive" & "cautious" since the recent Hispanic (and other ethnic) affiliated gang-like shootings of populace and killing of police.
Bmoore3 you are right, this is the way to go.Word of mouth is very important.Does anyone know how to get ahold of the minutemen org.THEY COULD BE A BIG HELP.So far all the ideas coming through are great.
I'm writing a paper on this and would like to get The Bee's views on immigration in the state of California-both legal and illegal immigration. Any information would be appreciated.

are right you are maligned we all are. Sometimes we look to see who the first to cast stones. jheaton says he protects people for a living, right, I wouldn't live in Turlock with his kind or that of Wasden pretenders to truth. I just get irked at your dispassion for anothers faith nut then I grew up differently than you and wish you nothing but "God's speed" the exact opposite for j who?
I think the lines were in a discussion between Mickey and Judy and a group of other kids: "I've got some costumes." "My uncle's got a barn." "Let's put on a show!" ... No.... It might have been (was) in a Spanky and Our Gang film (Beginners Luck) when Alfalfa and Darla were talking (Spankey lost some money and the gang came up with an idea to make some money to keep him out of trouble)... something about a talent contest he wanted to loose or something like that...) ... then after he says "Let's put on a show" Spankey says ... "Okee-dokee!" and Buckwheat says: "Oh-Tay!" II could be wrong...) If not, then possibly "Love Finds Andy Hardy"... Judy Garland had a part in it (played Betsy Booth).... gosh, somewhere around the 1938? Mickey and Judy did (I think) three Hardy films (Life Begins for Andy Hardy and Andy Hardy Meets Debutante)... Not sure which film that line was in...
They actually did 10 films together... (AH... "America's Sweethearts"....). Maybe that line was not in a Mickey-Judy film. Oh well, way off the thread now... sorry... Those old movies, well, just good fun for kids to watch.... Ahhhh shucks!

the right film. But mostly they have the songs from the movies but I'll keep on looking. It might have been on the Our Gang series too, but I remember it from the Andy Hardy films the most. It's been a running gag in our family for more than a few years.
Ummm, Is there something wrong?
All 4 votes are against immigration reform, that cant be.
I voted in favor of it.
Have to read above the line.
Where is # 4
Poll spacing
It does look confusing. The spacing seems to be in the templates. Please bear with us, we'll be making changes for improvement soon.
