Winter has arrived and undoubtedly as the weekend approaches many winter sports lovers are grabbing their gear and heading to the slopes.  Traversing the mountains whether in your car or on your skis can require some heads up information and the web offers some useful places to gather the latest info.  Check out www.dot.ca.gov/hq/roadinfo  for information on all road conditions and chain requirements. Log onto www.skireport.com/california for a quick look at what your day holds including the amount of snow, lift operations and take a peek via the sky cam at what the weather looks like around your favorite ski spot.
