7 seriously wounded in shooting at Orlando high-rise

Orlando, Florida (CNN) -- At least seven people with serious gunshot wounds were brought out of an Orlando, Florida, office building Friday, a spokeswoman with the city fire department said.

An Orlando Police Department spokeswoman identified the alleged shooter as Jason Rodriguez, who used to work in the building. He is still at large, said John Tormos of the Orlando Fire Department.

A spokesman for the Orange County Sheriff's Office, which is helping the city police department, said investigators are looking for a man wearing a blue Polo shirt, gray vest and blue jeans.

"We're in a search mode for the gunman," said Jim Solomons, a spokesman for the sheriff's office.

CNN affiliate WESH said the shooting occurred at the Gateway Center -- a 16-story building near Lake Ivanhoe and Interstate 4.

The interstate was closed in both directions near the office building, according to the Florida Department of Transportation Web site.

    So what's your point?

Every one's already read the news.

Are you for or against shooting people Activist1?

Or do you prefer to watch the slow death like say badgering someone and telling lies and gossiping about them during an election?

    Activist1...please answer this question

Why did you delete your article about the newly appointed U.S. Attorney as he relates to the Road Dog Case?

If you didn't delete it, then who did?  Do you know why?

It was a very active blog...such a shame to delete it.

I have been trying to get a response from you on other blogs so now I have come to your blog to ask you for an explanation.

Another Shooter In Florida... just point out the news

A1- I think this augmented DILBERT explains things here............

A1, as usual, it doesn't take very long for the drones to come out whenever you post (anything)....  I think Dilbert here can explain it all in this little cartoon (adaptation) from today’s comics....

It seems anyone here at the Hive who wants to say something has their detractors (probably 100 times more so if the poster's name is Activist1).  I think Delbert understands when those who blog here at the Hive are just trying to inform others or draw attention to similar stories (and “Another Shooter in Florida” was only (I understood it to be) your pointing out that the shooting at Fort Hood (and that is horrific beyond words) was not the only mass shooting in the news).  "13 women killed and buried in back yard and house" reads one story, "gangs open up on party" reads another, "13 killed and over 30 wounded" read another…"7 seriously wounded in shooting at Orlando high-rise", and on and on the horrible news points out how ugly and sick the mind can turn.

The posters that followed your's just did not get it… they only saw “Activist1”

    - the Hive colony then goes wild by those who can only bleat – but do not contribute anything to the thread.  It would have been more constructive if they had thought about what you posted and could have caught the connection of the dozen or so other Hive posts about the Fort Hood killings.  But they didn’t.  They didn’t think that “Hey, people are going crazy at an alarming rate and it is in the news more and more each day… When will it end? Why so many?”

The only thing that was said was: “SO WHAT’S YOUR POINT!” and “Activist1… please answer this question….”  No relevance with the thread.  Dilbert understands the reason people insert irrelevant stories and trite observations into Hive blogs…

Activist1......has not been around lately bmoore

Why are you placing the spotlight on her?  I see a distraction so that Dan will not read Heaton's outrageous, racist, bigoted blog.

I don't see how you can continue to side with this guy, he uses racists words like whitey! and you don't see the soul behind the words.

Dan will not read - 08

08, I'm sure Dan has more important things that to go off the Hive line (the Bee line) and read JH's blog.

As you will notice, I don't post on JH's blog; and where did you get the feeling that I "continue to side with this guy"?  If you go back on what few post I have made about JH - I've never sided with anyone who "uses racist words.."  That's probably why I seldom side with RS (wasn't he the one who first used those words?)...  Just pointing a few errors and misconceptions you are having in your posting. (Oh, and in my post here -<above>- not any mention of JH....   did you even read what I wrote?)

    That was my point....

I never noticed this but I will in the future, I apologize once again to you.

    08...

A suggestion:  To your “I apologize once again to you."  One way to avoid having to apologize to others so often would be:

    1.  Make sure that what is written is factual.

    2.  Fully read a (full) post before commenting on it (in error).

    3.  Try to look at the full context of a post and not just who wrote the post (that would eliminate one heck of a lot of pre-assumptions on the content).  There have been several posts I made (or starting threads) where I actually agreed with a left leaning topic, however the responder never read my posting and only saw it was signed "Bmoore3" and went off on the usual "you don't know what your talking about" mode...  That doesn't bother me because it just allows others to see how unreasonable some who post really are.  Some times I would try to point out that I agreed with that persons view on that subject, only to be criticized again (they did not read what I wrote)....  so, after a while, I just let them rant their heads off.

    4.  If someone posts on a topic posted by someone they did not particularly like... if they followed the first three suggestions, then the final point here would be: Stick to the topic of the original posting and if the points of the post don't sit right with you, just point out what you (the generic "you" applies to all these "you(s)") disagree with and make every effort not to let uncontrolled emotions get in the way.  State the point of view (no name calling or accusations) and then move on.

If those simple (but important) steps were followed, their wouldn’t be a need for: "I apologize once again to you".  Oh yes, and apology accepted.

As for: "Why are you placing the spotlight on her?"...  If you'll note, it was "BikeRackIV and JusticeAnnFreedom" who went after A1 and placed "the spotlight on her".  Had they followed these simple rules, there would not have been anything beyond the original posting.  If a person doesn't want to give someone the limelight, and they have nothing constructive to say, just "pass on by"...  There is a reason we all have that thing between our ears...

Some say the cartoon did not go throught... did it?

If not, I'll try again here....

Let me know if you can see it... I'm still having problems getting pictures on the Hive.
