Grow House Owned by City of Modesto Burnt to the Ground

Fire destroys Modesto house that was site of pot raid - The city-owned house that was the site of a $1 million marijuana bust last week was destroyed by fire on Monday night, according to the Modesto Fire Department. [Local Modesto News]
Maybe it's just the part of me that relishes conspiracies and 'wheels-spinning-within-wheels' theory, but isn't the timing very odd?
We just heard about this house last week, and now it's crisped! No cause for the fire has been determined yet, however it is pointed out that city employees were in the house the very same day; boarding up windows and doors. Is someone covering up for the fact that a city-owned house was turned into a cannabis grow-house? Could it be the property management company who wanted the house torched? Did someone just forget to extinguish something they "found" inside the house???
Or is it all just bloody coincidence?

Lets see, question one is
Lets see, question one is the City covering up for the fact that a city owned house was turned into a grow house?
That's possible. The only problem with this theory is IT WAS ON THE FRONT PAGE OF THE BEE WHEN THE GROW WAS BUSTED!!! How in the world would torching the house cover up anything????
Question Two; Could it be the property management company?
Yeah, they have motive because when the house isn't rented then they don't get any money. So my guess is the property management business is so good and they have so much money that they simply don't need any more, so they burn down the house so the City can't rent it out again so they don't get their commission. After all, what business wants to make money anyway?
developer money
The house is burned out, so it looks like the city of Modesto will have to sell the property. I'll wager the property will be sold to developers or a shill, is this house in an annexation zone?
corruption begets corruption.
@Senior Smithma the Scorcher of Scathing Semantics : D
.....that they were covering up the fact that the house was owned by the city. We all know there was mary jane in there, and that the city owned the house. That is something I can agree with Smithma on.
But how do we know something else wasn't in there?
There were city employees in there hours before this blaze was reported.
Can you at least concede that the timing between the house' discovery and it's destruction seems less than coincidence?
Is this house...
Is this house the one along the Dry Creek Trail? I read the article, but could not tell if that was it or not.
If so that is too bad. I always thought that would be a cool place to live, with a regional park right outside your front door.
How would they be covering
How would they be covering up that the house was owned by the City? That was in the newspaper article too. If your conspiracy theory were true that the City burned the house down, all that has done is focus more attention on the fact that a marijauna garden was found there.
As for speculating about what caused this fire I'll leave that up to the fire department. I'm sure the Modesto Bee will report it if they can determine a cause of the fire.
smithma.... nicely put!
Tongue in cheek works well on some! Thanks. After a fun filled evening (election night victory parties) I needed something to bring me back to Earth. (Darn.... and I was having such a great time - 100%)... Oh well, back to the real world. Your post was great!
