IS MURATORE THE MONOPOLY MAN ?

November 1, 2009.

Is Muratore looking to monopolize ? Here is currently managing a 32-acre annexation under his commercial real estate company, and seeks to become a city council member, possibly while having so many conflict of interests issues this could literly cause delays in the citizens of the City Modesto's business.

But developers always look for ways to bypass citizens dont they?

I recently described what a monopoly is according to the Websters Dictionary:

MONOPOLY: exculsive ownership or CONTROL  through legal privilage, command of supply, or concerted action. Exclusive possession. exclusive possession. ans instance of monopoly. a commodity controlled by one party . a person or group having a monopoly.

TRUST,SYNDICATE, CARTEL. MONOPOLY implies exclusive power to buy or sell  in a specified market.

DEVELOPERS will always try and get a shill upon the city council, and this is true across the United States, shills or developers candidates are voted into office after recieving the lions share of campaign funds, that is a red flag to any concerned voter.

Currently, the Modesto City Council has a developer sitting in a chair, and his name Garrad Marsh. Garrad Marsh has developed houses in Modesto and even has rezoned his monopoly houses without a  conflict of interest being called before the planning commission.

Another council member named Brad Hawn is an engineer, and is a Modesto City council member, Brad Hawn is also pro-developer since he votes yes on developer proposals. As with most of the Modesto City Council members.

What does this have to do with anything you ask, well with Hawn, and Marsh being developers or shills, and if Muratore were to be elected that would be three sure votes by the developers on the city council.

SCOOP: Knock it off Wayne !

According to records, Brad Hawn is business partners with Ryan Swehla and Joe Muratore, in a energy company called VALLEY ENERGY PARTNERS, LLC. with Stephen Endsley

The company Valley Energy Partner's which Ryan Swehla, Steve Endsley city council member Brad Hawn and city council candidate Joe Muratore are partner's seem to have a little problem with knowing rate payers are going to subsidize their business venture. Valley Energy Partners even dropped the "commonwealth" to dubiuos effect.

Another reason not to vote for Joe Muratore.

City council members which have close relationships with developers have caused havoc across the United States of America. Not just one developer elected to be a council member but two or more developers on the city council, please read these links:

Developers' greed brought new faces to city council

By KEN MIDKIFF

April 20, 2007

As a national environmental organization's political leader remarked in 1994, "No matter how incompetent, inept and bungling our efforts are, we can always count on greed and stupidity of our opposition to make is look good."

Such wa sthe situation in the recent election choosing Columbia City Council members. The developers-who almost unanimously supported Mike Holden in the fourth ward and Ed Kespohl inthe third ward with endorsements and money-were their own worst enemies.

Every day, folks in those wards were subjected to traveling by massive developments that made them cast their votes for those more inclined to slowdown the headlong rush to build subdivisions and strip malls in what is now open and green space. It is necessary to look no farther than statements by the Columbia Bulldozer Academy-aka the Central Missouri Development Association-and the Home Builders Association to show that for the past few years the city council has been under the sway of the developers.

In short the developers went to far, and the citizenry of the third and Fourth wards decided to rein them in a bit. From the mess at the east of Stadium to the equal or worse mess along 70 and Clark Lane to the massive destruction along South Providence Road and Grindstone Parkway,it became clear that there is no plan for growth. There was merely a plan for growing at the expense of everything we hold dear.

Rather than direct new subdivisions for residential housing and strip malls to places where the least harm would be caused, the city council-hamstrung by the Planning and Zoning and by Public Works ordinances of the 1950s but unwilling to make any changes-approved about every piece of crap that came down the pike. The only thing that slowed some of these ill-concieved plans down-or even stopped them-were the efforts of local residents. When people organized and banded together, plans for development collapsed.

Now, rather than NIMB-Not In My Backyard-there is a movement that is NIAB-Not An Anybody's Backyard. For years, there have been neighborhood associations and groups of citizens who objected to the demise of open and green space, more water pollution and the loss of community. Now those desperate groups have joined forces in a citywide effort to protect steep slopes, creeks and wooded areas.

At this point, what will happen now that Karl Skala and Jerry Wade are on the city council is anyone's guess. Contrary to statements by spokespeople for developers and home builders, city council meetings might be a lot shorter. Saying "no" doesn't take as long as getting to"yes"

It is clear that ordinances need to be changed. It is clear that the third and foirth ward residents have spoken for such changes. GREED AND STUPIDITY CAUSED THIS.

The Voice of Modesto... and they complain about

Well, now I know were w08 gets his reading material for talking points.  The "Voice of Modesto" on line post.   http://voiceofmodesto.org/wordpress/?m=200910  with stories such as: "The Sabatino Report Aug 11" and questioning the integrity of Ms. Olsen's sister in "Juror #10"...

For months and months we have heard a select group chant how one sided "http://stancoinsider.com/stancoinsider_043.htm  - StancoInsider) seems to be to the left.  Yet, now we see "Voice of Modesto.org" as one of the references on the left.

Well, just wanted to point out the dichotomy of all this ... both sides have something they can read and get out of it what they choose.  Perhaps the progressives should stop calling the non-liberal reading material propaganda because it seem the liberal material is (using the standards of the left) the same.   With StancoInsider we know the editor; with the Voice of Modesto, there are no names, no faces, just stories. "What does this have to do with anything you ask" (a line from w08's post): oh nothing, just  an observation.

Trolling again Bm?
