Sheriff's race: Expect campaign warfare.

While Sheriff Adam Christianson attack dogs attempt to mark their territory, heed this warning... never underestimate Christianson supporters, we are fierce and we don't back down. If need be, we will fight fire with fire.

Quotes from today's article:

"Meanwhile the endorsement evoked memories of a bruisng campaign that divided the Sheriff's department four years ago. But political commentators say it's probably not as important to voters, who might not even remember come June."

"Leadership scrutinized in campaigns"

"Accountability often surfaces in campaign warfare. One need look no further then the last Sheriff's race, when Christianson took on unelected Assistant Sheriff Mark Puthuff, heir apparent to former Sheriff Les Weidman, in the first true campaign for that post since 1990."

"In the last week of November--sound familair?--four years ago, the Bee broke news of a disgruntled former deputy suing the department and Puthuff, with allegations of an affair. Puthuff and his attorney questioned the timing, at the beginning of campaign season."

So while Christianson detractors have posted numerous blogs personally attacking him for the lawsuits, it's apparent that suing, as part of a strategy,  is nothing new.

In the article Jackson was quoting as saying  "I don't want to go negative. I don't want to sling mud. I am going to be critical because I don't think Adam has done the job he's been asked to do."

But then Jackson drew first blood with this:

"To settle like that, there had to be some wrongdoing," said Jackson.

I think it's unfortunate that Jackson has made the decision to step into the ring. With that said, I highly suggest he work on improving his right hook. Jackson has now hit the bigtime, he's going to be dealing with some world class champs.

Let's see if he's up to it.

Is getting a settlement part of the strategy too? I believed that these ladies got paid for this not to go to court. Is lying and cheating part of Christiansons same campaign? I for one will not sit back and watch a bunch of inocents be taken in by Adams tactics. It is time for change, and Adam is not the answer. The solution is having someone in office that is not arogant, doesnt lie, and has the best interest of the citizens and the Office at heart. Our deputies are only as strong as the leadership behind them. The Arogance of Christianson is no longer wanted in Stanislaus County. Rob Jackson is the answer to getting Stanislaus county back on track. Mr. Jackson has no arogance, is honest, down to earth,  possesses Integrity, Humor, and Compassion for people. Come election time, He will definately have my vote. I hope that all who view this post, get a chance hear this well spoken, educated, trustworthy man. I believe that we will get our monies worth when Rob Jackson is elected to office as Sheriff of Stanislaus County.

Good points

Well put captain.  I couldn't agree more.

A1

Come on A1, you know Jackson is a good guy!!!  Ask anyone that has worked for him.  Even AC supporters say he is a good guy, he is great to work for....

Jackson has even talked positive about AC, he just said that Adam was not ready.  Thats it!!!

There has been no mud slinging....  just stating the facts.  Nobody has attacked anyone.  (other than the hive members)
