The Attack On Christians Continue

A hate crimes bill attached to a defense bill? Give me a break. While the murder of innocent people by the sick and twisted is evil, there are already laws on the books to deal with them. This is just another step that the socialist liberals are taking to completely destroy Christian's rights to practice our religion. Quoting the Bible and living by God's Word does not provoke, or create violence. Just the opposite. But the lib socialist need to silence those of faith inorder to reshape America, and make all people slaves to the federal government.  Barry Hussein O. and his openly communist staff...and czars must be stopped.

A "hate crimes" bill opponents claim will be used to crack down on Christian speech, even the reading of the Bible, was signed into law today by President Obama.

The Senate approved the Matthew Shepard and James Byrd, Jr. Hate Crimes Prevention Act by a vote of 68-29 on Oct. 22 after Democrats strategically attached it to a "must-pass" $680 billion defense appropriations plan.

Most Republicans, although normally strong supporters of the U.S. military, opposed the bill because it hands out federal money to states and local governments in pursuit of "preventing" hate crimes. The bill creates federal protections and privileges for homosexuals and other alternative lifestyles but denies those protections to other groups of citizens.

American Family Association President Tim Wildmon warned that the new law "creates a kind of caste system in law enforcement, where the perverse thing is that people who engage in non-normative sexual behavior will have more legal protection than heterosexuals. This kind of inequality before the law is simply un-American."

Wildmon said the legislation creates possible situations where pastors may be arrested if their sermons on sexuality can be linked in even the remotest way to acts of violence.

"It threatens free speech and freedom of religion and is totally unacceptable," he said.

As WND reported, U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder admitted a homosexual activist who is attacked following a Christian minister's sermon about homosexuality would be protected by the proposed federal law, but a minister attacked by a homosexual wouldn't be.

I have no doubt this will be challenged

and the worst part will be the cost to the American tax payer as it winds its way through the court system. *sigh* To think that, after all these years, we cannot seem to come up with a way to protect one group in danger without leaving another out to dry. Sad.

The Buble.........what the

Heck is the Buble ?

Malcolmkyle's picture

What buble are you promoting here Jack?

the one in the bottom of your can of Bud?

"communidt staff".. what's that when it's at home?

And shouldn't the title read "The Attacks On Christians Continue"

You may need to dry out for a while Bro!

Malcolmkyle's picture

You're not there yet Jack!

inorder should be two separate words.
jheaton's picture

Hey malc

I have never hidden the fact that my typing skills are lacking.....maybe you should check the spelling on one of your new post's titles? OUCH!

jheaton's picture

Looks

like you already did malc.

Malcolmkyle's picture

I haven't corrected a thing Jack

which one were you implying anyway?

You're title is still in need of a tweak BTW.

Malc

none of yours say updated, like his did.

Malcolmkyle's picture

I know TS

thanks for mentioning it though!

And I was only being helpful Jack!

You make a good point

Malc. I'm pretty new here, but may I add a suggestion that can help.

Drying out for awhile, like Malcolmkyle suggested, is a good idea Jack.

I looked in the phone book and Turlock has a place called "Gin Blossom" treatment Center. It's 28 days and you can take dogs too.

Malcolmkyle's picture

I'd forgotten about those mutts BKIV

It may be fairly difficult trying to dry those two out!

Power

rates going up for MID? If they do, go to my Uncle Sam's Boot Blog to see how theft is a factor. Malc, since this is a new era at The Hive, post your videos to your own blog.

Let me get this straight..

You're against this law because it protects homosexuals from crimes against them because they are gay?  And it because it doesn't explicitly cover Christians?

Are you nuts?

When's the last time you heard about a story where a Christian teenager was killed just because he went to church?

Until we live in a civilized society where crazy extremist people don't kill others because the bible says they're evil, then we need laws like this.

Good try Three03 but

There's absolutely no reasoning to be had with the author of this thread.  I agree with you BTW.

So the U.S. is an uncivilized society, 3-03?

Compared to Iran where they hang homosexuals... please. How many people die from hate crimes annually - and how many of those are motivated by race, religion and sexual orientation?

So everything is relative

as long as they're worse than us ...then we're good?

And we shouldn't aspire to be better?

Iran ...you don't set your sights very high.

Let's see some stats, TS

Where's the evidence of this mass wave of hate crimes - let's see stats. Police will say one hate crime is one hate crime too many, but let's see some stats to reinforce your assertions, TS.

Malcolmkyle, dogs can go to "Gin Blossom"

treatment Center. But they are not allowed in the spa unless they are certified "flea free" by a Veterinarian or Counselor.

You compared us to Iran

so where are your stats.

I made no assertions.

You attacked 303 so the ball is in your court.  But I have no desire to post to this blog again.  So if you want any further responses you'll have to start another one of your own.

The only reason I posted to this blog in the first place was to point out that Malc was correct and the blogs author was making things up.

@curious

My comment wasn't based on the fact that the US isn't civilized, or less civilized then other countries, that's another subject.

Would you consider a person civilized if they kill other people because they aren't the same as them?  This isn't just about homosexuality.

The federal hate crime bills pertains to any of the below:

Hate crime laws in the United States (also known as bias crimes) protect against crimes motivated by enmity or animus against a protected class. Although state and federal laws vary, typical protected characteristics are racereligionethnicitynationalitygendersexual orientationgender identity, and disability.

So the argument that Christians aren't as protected as gays is pretty unfair.  If someone were to attack you just because you are Christian, that would fall under a hate crime.  All this change does is extend it on the basis of sexual orientation.

The argument that a pastor can't reference homosexuality in a sermon because it might be construed as "hate-speech" or a crime under this bill, would be under the same assumption if they said it about an ethnicity, or other religion.  So what's wrong with extending it?

as far as the Buble goes

It should not be rewritten becaue a few protest so the belief continues.  As far as gays getting killed by Christians that would be very rare, if at all now days.

Im for gays to have rights, but no more than the next person as far as civil rights.

Gay's are still being killed because their gay, it just doesn't show up in the mainstream newspapers.   As far as gays charging into the Churches then claiming to want to worship and causing discord, those are radicals causing doing this.

Gays have churches already and they could easily band together and start their own version of a church. It wont be blessed by the Holy spirit though.

You spread hate Heaton!

no more and no less than these other fake-Christians

Are you so full of fear Heaton, because you can't show love?

Is hate the only emotion you can express because it's the only thing you dare to feel or know?

Jesus accommodated effortlessly everyone within his teaching, touching all who met him, non-judgmental in his friendships. In an ever-changing world, we need faith to guide us through turbulent times, and real, as opposed to transitory values. Unfortunately, many people are marginalized and victimized in the name of religion by hypocrites such as you Heaton. You are in no way following the great Christian precepts of Love & Compassion, and we all have the right, a duty even, to speak up and tell pseudo Christians like you, that demonizing others, is way far from anything Christian.

Jesus!

How about that woman who was the 'star' of the film? What a witch! She should re-read the Gospels. I am not a Christian. I know enough however, to know that there is only one group of people to whom Christ ever spoke to like that. Christ spoke in the very harshest of terms to religious authorities...the same religious authorities who were always busy speaking to people like that woman was speaking to the the homosexuals present there.

Kinda makes ya think huh?

The problem

is the misunderstanding of the word of God, Jesus did not come to this world to save those that were saved, but came to save the sinner.

In the eyes of God according to the word, an adulterer, or fornicater carried the same sin as a homosexual.  For a christian to turn a gay person away from accepting the lord is not what the Christ had taught.

" For where ever two or more Christians are Jesus the Christ will be there through the Holy Spirit"

A straight person faces the same punishment as a gay person, there would be nothing wrong with them to be in the congregation and hear the word. Once they are saved they can no longer sin as in committing adultry, fornication or gay. They will change. "You cannot serve two masters"

From what I understand they are not sitting in the congregation and listening to the gospel, but are causing trouble and disrupting the congregation.

There should be more street preachers getting the word out, but that is few and done by those who have misinterpreted the words.    And YELL!

The holy spirit needs no volume, the words will be recieved and heard by the chosen.

Malcolmkyle's picture

Thank God that not everybody shares your hate Heaton

This is terrible Malcolmkyle.

This is not CHRISTIANITY this is vile and disrespectful.

To the world these folks do not represent the majority of Christians......these are extremist or a completly different faith.

I am extreme in my Christian views and it is no where close to this.

The homosexual is torn between God and the flesh just like all sinners it is between them and God.

a soldier fights for all of us, without regard of other Americans religious beliefs or bias's they fight for you and they're fellow soldiers.

I make an apology for them to any who have been insulted.

Malcolmkyle's picture

Wayne; I too have a profound belief in God;

so I wish to join you in making that apology.

God is love

God is truth

God is peace

God is wisdom

God is joy

God is justice

God is prosperity

May God put in our hearts compassion and Charity and may God's kindness allow us to feel his consoling spirit

And God continues

to love us all, despite our inability to love Him and each other...that part just slays me every time I am told I am not 'really' a Christian.
Malcolmkyle's picture

LSK; We are judged simply by how we behave

and by how much hate we spread:

I agree that Faith with out Works is DEAD

I agree, Malc. We can claim to be Christians and claim to be saved, but not all who call "Lord Lord" will enter the kingdom of Heaven...I just want to make sure that MY actions reflect my faith as much as possible; and when I fall, I go to Him for forgiveness rather than wallow in my shame and misery.

Darn that prayer anyway - how does it go? Forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us?

That Jesus, always a hook....

Malcolmkyle's picture

How does it go LSK?

How about:"I am my brothers keeper"

We have a duty to God, to speak out when confronted with Fake-Christians spreading hate, don't you think?
