Juror #10 is Kristin Olsen’s Sister!
As a witness to the Sabatino Trial almost in it’s entirety, I need to share with you the story of juror #10 who was dismissed.
Jurror #10 was a pretty young pregnant lady. I could never really tell if she was supportive of the defense, or the prosecution. It was quite a long time into the trial that everyone was informed that she had been dismissed from the jury. At first rumors went around that it was because of her pregnancy, but it was after the trial that I learned from Frank Carson, and Carmen Sabatino what really went on behind closed doors. This is very interesting, and I think there was an effort by certain people to infiltrate the very jury that was to decide the fate of our former Mayor Carmen Sabatino.
During jury questioning, all jurrors were given a list of potential witnesses that were going to testify during the trial. They were instructed to tell the judge if they knew or had any prior knowledge of any of the people on the list. During this phase of the jury selection, joror #10 admitted that she had some knowledge of Janice Keating, because she had worked on a political campaign. Based on this answer, the judge eventually seated juror #10 on the jury.
Later on, there was discussion behind closed doors whether jurror #10 should be dismissed. Questions were asked to her, and it was revealed that her sister was Kristen Olsen, a newly elected Modesto City Council member, and that this was the political campaign that she had worked on. Judge Stephensohn did not remove her from the jury at this time. I have no idea why she was allowed to stay on the jury.
Finally, after more closed door discussions between the attorneys, and the judge, jurror #10 was called back into closed chambers, and was told that she was being dismissed. At that time, jurror #10 responded by saying “Is it because my husband works for Mike Zagaris?” Now we all know Mike Zagaris was on that witness list, and yet jurror #10 did not admit at that time that she had a connection with him, and she did not admit at that time that she was the sister of Kristen Olsen, who was heavily financed by the building industry, in her successful bid for the Modesto City Council. In Modesto, Mike Zagaris is Mr. BIG of the building industry. Mike Zagaris is highly suspected as being the person who hired Roger Brown, the Sonora Attorney to write a report that contained lies concerning Carmen Sabatino. The Brown Report was the basis for the 18 search warrants that caused the bogus trial to heppen in the first place.

I do however think your getting pretty low to write about anyone's pregnant family member. I think anyone who is going to have a baby should be off limits! Shame on you!
I'm still trying to figure out why you call yourself the "Voice of Modesto", when CLEARLY you aren't.

The Zagaris's will use anything to get there way. When they were being sued on that house I mentioned about. The one with the walls caving in. Someone on the stand went on to say they couldn't believe this was happening to them, for all the pain that our family has gone through when our brother, as a young boy was kidnapped. Now don't get me wrong here, that is a terrible thing, but what did it have to do with this suit? I know, to work on the jury for pity.
Another thing, I'm not against anyone having a great honest business. What I am against businesses that hurt the people. This is about peoples lives.

So, I guess the distate of Council Member Olsen and the strong support of Joe Cataline for District 5 from Voice of Modesto has nothing to do with politics, her actions on the Council, or the strong suits of Cataline, but everything to do with a personal vendetta from the Sabatino Clique?

Actually....it doesn't make sense to me that an obviously pregnant women would fail to answer questions that would get her dismissed.

If Zagarais has the power to place people on a jury...
It is hard to lend credence to the rest of the story if we have to believe that there was a conspiracy to rig the jury against Sabatino. Wait- didn't he get off? So Zagaris is powerful enough to stack the jury, but he forgot to get the right jurors?
Interesting that the "behind closed doors" questioning was leaked. Boy the Voice of Modesto has some pretty resourceful anonymous reporters...
Oh wait, this was from the Stanislaus Free Press, a completely unbiased information source when it comes to Sabatino.
Why all the hysteria over "Juror #10" now? Is this another attack of inuendo, loosely related speculations, third hand gossip and dime store conspiracy theory?

Interesting Thing About Anonymous Sources
You don't get to ask any questions. Even more interesting, no one reads StanislausFreePress or Voice of Modesto. Now with Hive exposure, at least a dozen or so of Modesto's finest citizens are aware of the hit piece. Why don't we ask the Judge? Would he confirm this closed door meeting? Would he be outraged that Zagaris packed this jury?
Zagaris also packed the OJ jury, and that also backfired. No one can prove this statement wrong. And you of all people should value some Truth.

Petrulakis: He's a leading player in the county's arm of the Republican Party and a member of the Modesto Chamber of Commerce political action committee. He managed Mayor Jim Ridenour's election campaign in 2003 and tried to sink former Mayor Carmen Sabatino's successful run in 1999.

I am going to defer an opinion on this story. I would like Adam Ashton to comment on his story and give us a little background. Although I may not have picked up on the hidden agenda in this story, it doesn't mean that Adam didn't try to convince all of us that Zagaris rigged the Sabatino jury. Adam is clever and probably tried to disguise the story by not mentioning the trial, the jury or anything relevant to this post. But I am not one to rush to judgement.
How about it Adam, Wayne2008 claims your story proves Zagaris rigged the Sabatino jury. Did I miss something?
