Road Dog case could see changes - Shifting priorities and personnel at the federal level could mean changes for one of Stanislaus County's highest-profile criminal cases. Some say the federal racketeering case against Road Dog Cycle shop owner Robert C. Holloway could change course as the Obama administration retools prosecutorial priorities and installs new leadership among federal prosecutors.

What should have been a state charge of recieving or possessing stolen property was turned into a Federal Case.
This case has vendetta issues, and lack of credible evidence, even with President Obama's changes the vendetta issues could still be the factor that keeps this case alive.
The urging of vendetta driven local Law Enforcement officials to the Federal Judge to keep this case going so they can save face and hide the wrong doing and miscarriage of Justice is all they wish at this point. Even they sense no Jury will see Bob Holloway as guilty.
The illegal wiretap evidence will be thrown out, and their goes the bulk evidence of the Road Dog case.

Road Dog Case...
throw it all out and quit wasting my tax dollars!
It will continue to be a miscarriage of Justice if the Road Dog Case goes forward all to "save face." If the judge or new U.S. Attorney wants a case worth prosecuting then he should look into the misuse of tax dollars to pursue a personal vendetta, ATF agents who lie on the stand under oath, and all of the other local LE & Federal corruption that has been exposed throughout the Road Dog Case.
Wayne, I hope and pray that Judge Wanger also sees the wiretap evidence as illegal...it is hard not to, considering everything that has been put forth thus far.

Former US Attorney McGregor...I saw him on a KVIE program recently.
He admits to making inaccurate and inflammatory statements concerning what he and his people targeted as a terrorist cell in Lodi, CA in a press conference.
I am not sure if the Lodi case had anything to do with him leaving the job....but I would like to see him on point about the Road Dog Case at some point.
I would like to see every LE at the Road Dog press conference put on point.
I do wonder if there is a move to help remove the case.
It would not save face for this corruption involved.

I was looking for a discussion that DocHoliday started re: the Road Dog case and several of the ATF and local cops and investigators committing perjury and lying to Judge Wanger. Several people had posted comments to this blog over the past week or two and now I cannot locate it. Was the title changed? If anyone can direct me to this particular blog I would appreciate it. With the outrageous conduct of the leadership within the Bureau of ATF, in concert with the local Police department, Sherriffs Department and the DA's office, the U.S. Attorney in Sacramento has the opportunity to go on record that the Federal government will not tolerate roughshod investigations or prosecutions. The recent dismissal of the Vang Pao indictment and the Road Dog debacle (both based on the investigative leadership of the ATF), suggest that any real oversight is non-existent. Were either of those cases significant to spend millions of dollars of taxpayer money and thousands of hours of Federal investigative time and resources on? Was the vendetta aginst Holloway (albeit he was probably of questionable character) worth the credibility of law enforcement? Is continuing this farce in the face of the obvious dubious nature and perjurous content and witholding evidence worth the future credibility of the Agencies? There was no organization, that is obvious. Isnt the Racketeering Influenced Corrupt ORGANIZATION Act designed and intended to get organized crime off the street? Yes it will sting for the U.S. Attorney to step in and gain control of his Office. Yes the media and the defendants will have a short lived field day. But isnt that far better in the long run? Does there have to be formal Perjury investigations against, Downs, Gleysteen, Bort, Seese, Armaderiz, Gallagher and Bunch? How does more wasted time and money serve the community? It is quite reasonable to believe that these agencies are already taking or preparing to take internal measure to hold these people accountable and insure this does not get repeated. We have guns leaving California and going into Mexico faster than the illegals are coming across the other way. Drug and gun violence is out of control and ATF can slow that process and have a positive impact once integrity is restored. If this case continues, and the Agents called to testify Nov. 18th unequivically state that the representations of thos who preceed them fabricated, misrepresented and outright lied to Judge, Wanger, the government will then have no choice but to prosecute these Agents and any other Officer who attempts to spin this debacle further. Why has'nt the Gov. called Elias, the Two supervisory local Officers, Gallagher, and Armaderiz? Why didnt Bunch get called when he was in the court room? Why are one or more of these key players on Administrative leave at this time? The Bee has shown a rightful support of law enforcement and should continue to report pro law enforcement stories, UNTIL THEY ARE NO LONGER WORTHY OF BEING SUPPORTED. They have been fair and balanced, they have not created this drama but for their own credibility we hope when it becomes clear through compelling and independant testimony that this case was a lie from the onset, that they ask questions on the communities behalf.
