March 3 Sac-Joaquin Section playoff basketball

I'm at the University of the Pacific, where we're poised for a long night after the first game goes down to the wire.
Merced beats Burbank 76-72 in the first Division I boys quarterfinal, behind 37 points from superstar guard Allen Huddleston. At one point in the third quarter, Huddleston hit two consecutive 3-pointers from deep followed by a drive to the bucket for eight straight.
Merced took a 73-71 lead on a Huddleston drive to the basket with 38 seconds left, and after Burbank's Terrance Mitchell made one of two free throws to pull his team with 73-72, Brian Cooksey got behind the Titans' defense for an easy layup and, eventually, the game.
Merced plays the Enochs-Folsom winner, which I'll be live-blogging later tonight.
A girls game: Bradshaw Christian beat Turlock Christiasn in a Division V quarterfinal, but I don't have the final score.

Brian VanderBeek taking over Enochs-Folsom live blog
Will's on an impossible deadline for writing the Enochs-Folsom game story for the print version of the Modesto Bee, so I'll be taking over the live blogging.
We're expecting tipoff around 9:30, so we're a solid 30 minutes behind schedule tonight.
This is a 1 vs. 8 game, with No. 1 Folsom coming off an 80-41 demolition of Armijo in Friday's opening round. Enochs, the co-champion of the Modesto Metro Conference, dispatched Pitman 73-61 in the first playoff game in the history of EHS.
The winner of this game meets Merced on Thursday at 4 p.m. at ARCO in a Sac-Joaquin Section Division I semifinal. Golden Valley will meet Franklin at 5:30 in the other semifinal.
Starting lineups to follow...

Here we go...
Quick start for Folsom
7-0 start on 3 easy baskets causes Enochs to call timeout. 6:41 left in first quarter. Enochs has committed two turnovers and has yet to get off a shot.
It looks like Folsom is
It looks like Folsom is wearing Beyer's home jerseys. Bulldogs grabbing every rebound, but soph Matt Iles hits two 3-pointers to get Eagles going. The 3-pointer should be there at the start with Folsom playing a zone.
12-6 Folsom 4:30 1st q
3:49 Enochs goes big
Abel Watts and Scott Robertson check in to make enochs 6-9, 6-7, 6-6 across the back line. This worked very well against Pitman, we'll see how it works here.
Folsom 15-8 end 1st Q
Enochs' offense not doing much. Bell gets a slam off a fast break rebound, but Folsom's defense keeping the Eagles off-rhythm.
1st quarter stats to come, but off the top of my head I'd say that Enochs had 8-10 turnovers in the opener.
