Some interesting information on Obama.

I received this in an email. But, I have to say.... It's interesting.
Around 1979 Obama started college at Occidental in California . He is very
> open about his two years at Occidental, he tried all kinds of drugs and was
> wasting his time but, even though he had a brilliant mind, did not apply
> himself to his studies. "Barry" (that was the name he used all his life)
> during this time had two roommates, Muhammad Hasan Chandoo and Wahid Hamid,
> both from Pakistan . During the summer of 1981, after his second year in
> college, he made a "round the world" trip. Stopping to see his mother in
> Indonesia , next Hyderabad in India , three weeks in Karachi , Pakistan
> where
> he stayed with his roommate's family, then off to Africa to visit his
> father's family. My question - Where did he get the money for this trip?
> Nether I, nor any one of my children would have had money for a trip like
> this when they where in college. When he came back he started school at
> Columbia University in New York . It is at this time he wants everyone
> to
> call him Barack - not Barry. Do you know what the tuition is at Columbia ?
> It's not cheap! to say the least. Where did he get money for tuition?
> Student Loans? Maybe. After Columbia , he went to Chicago to work as a
> Community Organizer for $12,000. a year. Why Chicago ? Why not New York ?
> He
> was already living in New York .
>
>
> By "chance" he met Antoin "Tony" Rezko, born in Aleppo Syria , and a real
> estate developer in Chicago . Rezko has been convicted of fraud and
> bribery this year. Rezko, was named "Entrepreneur of the Decade" by the
> Arab-American Business and Professional Association". About two years
> later, Obama entered Harvard Law School . Do you have any idea what
> tuition
> is for Harvard Law School ? Where did he get the money for Law School ?
> More
> student loans? After Law school, he went back to Chicago . Rezko offered
> him
> a job, which he turned down. But, he did take a job with Davis, Miner,
> Barnhill & Galland. Guess what? They represented "Rezar" which is Rezko's
> firm. Rezko was one of Obama's first major financial contributors when he
> ran for office in Chicago . In 2003, Rezko threw an early fundraiser for
> Obama which Chicago Tribune reporter David Mendelland claims was
> instrumental in providing Obama with "seed money" for his U.S. Senate
> race.
> In 2005, Obama purchased a new home in Kenwoood District of Chicago for
> $1.65 million (less than asking price). With ALL those Student Loans -
> Where did he get the money for the property? On the same day Rezko's wife,
> Rita, purchased the adjoining empty lot for full price. The London Times
> reported that Nadhmi Auchi, an Iraqi-born Billionaire loaned Rezko $3.5
> million three weeks before Obama's new home was purchased. Obama met
> Nadhmi
> Auchi many times with Rezko.

>
> Now, we have Obama running for President. Valerie Jarrett, was Michele
> Obama's boss. She is now Obama's chief advisor and he does not make any
> major decisions without talking to her first. Where was Jarrett born?
> Ready
> for this? Shiraz , Iran ! Do we see a pattern here? Or am I going crazy?
>
>
> On May 10, 2008 The Times reported, Robert Malley advisor to Obama was
> "sacked" after the press found out he was having regular contacts with

> buried in the back part of the papers, Iraqi newspapers reported that
> during
> Obama's visit to Iraq , he asked their leaders to do nothing about the war
> until after he is elected, and he will "Take care of things".
>
>
> Oh, and by the way, remember the college roommates that where born in
> Pakistan ? They are in charge of all those "small" Internet campaign
> contribution for Obama. Where is that money coming from? The poor and
> middle class in this country? Or could it be from the Middle East ?
>
>
> And the final bit of news. On September 7, 2008, The Washington Times
> posted a verbal slip that was made on "This Week" with George
> Stephanapoulos. Obama on talking about his religion said, "My Muslim
> faith". When questioned, "he make a mistake". Some mistake!

I LOVE IT!! another "Uncle Jack" e-mail...lol
LOL..
give us a link...?
a link please stating this information?
Well
The email is from someone who claims to have researched it... It wasn't me.
I just thought it would be fun to see if the likes of you could refute it. Obviously not.
So then, just for fun, let me see what I can dig up. Well looky here:
"In 1981 Barack Obama visited Pakistan stayed with Mohammed Hasan Chandoo, who are the Chandoo Brothers?September 18th, 2008 · 2 CommentsFor some reason Barack Obama has never mentioned his three week stay in Pakistan in any of his writings. On the infamous San Francisco trip in which Obama called small town Americans “bitter” he also bragged that he had more foreign policy credentials than Hillary Clinton and John McCain. One of the things he listed on his resume was his extensive foreign travel including a 1981 trip to Pakistan. However since this admission, slip of the tongue, or however you would characterize it, Obama has never mentioned this trip again.
Although his campaign manager did discuss it when pressed:
As a freshman, he quickly became friends with Mohammed Hasan Chandoo and Wahid Hamid, two wealthy Pakistanis
In 1981, Obama transferred from Occidental to Columbia. In between, he traveled to Pakistan - a trip that enhanced his foreign policy qualifications, he maintained in a private speech at a San Francisco fundraiser last month. Obama spent “about three weeks” in Pakistan, traveling with Hamid and staying in Karachi with Chandoo’s family, said Bill Burton, Obama’s press secretary.
The Chandoo he was referring to is Mohammed Hassan Chandoo which this website claims is now a major campaign bundler for Obama:
Bundler: Hasan Chandoo
Employer:
Oppenheimer & Co
State:
NY
Bundler Status for 2008:
Bundler for Barack Obama, raised at least $100,000.00
Chandoo is one of the Chandoo Brothers, Mohammed Askari Chandoo has his own website entitled www.chandoo.com. He lists his brother’s email addresses:
Welcome to the Chandoo.com website. The following pages are available on this site:

Just for fun...
So, Chandoo is anti-Bush? Obama's not?
Anyway,
I had an Afghan roommate in college, let's just call him, "Hassan Chandoo", who is still one of my greatest friends. One night, some of "the guys" (fellow engineering students) tricked him into eating some pepperoni (it was finely chopped and not very visible). Might my witnessing this trickery (which offended but didn't kill anybody-"Hassan" was mildly hurt, but thought it was funny, the dudes apologized) undo the "Muslim-ness" I may have caught from living and interacting with him on a daily basis? I ask because I might want to run for office someday, and I just want to be sure that Islam is not contagious. I lived with this guy, and his best friend- a white dude from San Diego who's a Pastor now, incidentally- for two years! Wait, what if our other friend, I'll call him "Pastor Muthee", what if his congregation found out that he actually LIVED with Muslim? Oh, my GOd, the humanity!
My homeboy and I never went to Hyderabad OR Kabul- on account of how we were both poor undergrads and Afganistan was, believe it or not, even in the early 90s, a hell-hole- but I could imagine that had we had the cash to do it, we would've gotten all "Darjeeling Express" with it- many young people with the wherewithal to travel to far more exotic places than Pakistan. Rich white kids are traveling all OVER Asia as I write this. No one will trip on this when they run for office.
However, that is neither here nor there, the e-mail you got from Jermome Corsi speaks for itself. Obama (and anyone with a buddy with a weird-sounding Middle-Eastern name) is a potentially terroristic menace to society. Good work, A-1! Can you refute anything I've written?
Richmond Panopticus
oooh oooh...
...I hung out with anti-Shah Iranian students in the late '70s during college. Does that make me a friend of Ahmadinezhad?
And travelling back then was much cheaper than now...
and I
visited Africa in the 1970's and made friends with a lot of Muslims....many of whom now live in the US because they had to run from the extremists...oh no....I guess that makes me....
A WELL TRAVELLED AMERICAN!!!!
AUUUGGGHHHHH
look, this stuff is really gone by the wayside. Barry is really a Muslim, Michelle hates America, John McCain is a flyboy adulterer, Cindy is a drug addict....the reality is that neither of these candidates have lead perfect lives that when, put under scrutiny, can withstand attack. John McCain walked away from his own faith in order to marry a woman with tons of money. Sarah Palin left The Eucharist because she wanted 'better preaching'. Obama did drugs. Joe Biden voted pro-Abortion.
Yet, Joe has accepted the precept of his Bishop and goes to Mass but refrains from receiving The Eucharist. Nancy Pelosi, on the other hand, ignores her Bishop and goes disguised to different parishes so she can receive.....
Let's look at the issues and decide who to vote for this election. I know I will be voting for a third party candidate. If all Catholics voted according to Church teaching, neither one of these men would end up in the White House.
and to...
... that I can only add one very sincere "Amen!" sister LSK...
How those Niners doin'?
For what it's worth...
Here's what snopes.com has to say on the subject.
Here's what I say: What's
You know what I find amazing
is that so many people are willing to blindly follow Obama where no man has gone before. WHY?
People are actually looking the other way, rather than checking it out for themselves, are some people so hungry for a guy like Obama that they are simply going to dismiss every allegation against this man?
There has to be some perspective here. Don't dismiss information just because you want your candidate to win.
This election should be a major wake up call to what is happening in this country.
I don't think that's it
I really believe that the subject of the religious faith of a candidate has run its course and reasonable people are no longer interested. As PL so aptly put it, who cares if someone is a Muslim?
For many of us old folks, we can remember when people were not going to vote for JFK because he was a Catholic. We can remember when people were not going to vote for candidates because they were Jews. It just gets to be 'icky sounding' after awhile.
If someone says to me, "I cannot support Senator Obama because of his stand on abortion" or "I cannot support Senator McCain because I do not like his tax plan" that makes much more sense to me than, "I cannot vote for Senator McCain because I do not like divorced men who marry bottle-blondes". (and since I am a bottle blonde, I would find that highly offensive).
I think, and this is just my opinion, that really what is happening in this country is that there is a subtle backlash going on regarding the negative campaigning and dirty tricks pulled by both parties for the past 16 to 20 years. It is just gotten too much. We go through this every so often in the United States. The average person will put up with graft, the cemetery vote, meeting immigrants at the docks to sign them up to vote, coming up with ways to disenfranchise long-time voters and then WHAM! We cannot stand it anymore....and there is some real, honest change for awhile. Then that ol'stand by - fallen human nature - creeps back in and the whole shebang begins again.
People often mistake my attitude for cynicism. It is not. A fact of existence for me is this: I must be willing to walk my talk to the best of my ability, one day at a time, and adhere to the principles of a well-formed conscience and vote accordingly no matter what the popular culture preaches at the time. That's what most people find infuriating about me in particular - because of this rather Catholic attitude, my philosophy does not fit neatly into a specific political idealogy.
It is, on my part, not a matter of following anyone mortal blindly;rather it is examining their stands on important issues in light of Truth. Whether someone began their life as a Muslim and then converted to Christianity or whether they started life as a brunette and are now a redhead just does not matter to me. What matters is, what is their voting record? What are their plans? How do they approach the issues? What is more important to them - the egg of a chicken or the embryo of a human being?
Look at the provided snopes link. I think you will be surprised how many people have not dismissed the information; rather, upon examination, they found it to be frivolous.
Reasonable people?
Obama's pastor issues ran it's course? Not as far as some people are concerned. There are many more questions. I don't suppose they will ever be answered. New issues have came to light, and there are lot's of people who wouldn't consider that frivolous either.
A closer look into these allegations should be done, he's running for President. Just on the Hive alone, there are some serious allegations.
I hope the people will vote their conscience instead of popular opinion.
Don't believe everything you read on snopes.
